U.S. export inspections were not as strong as trade expectations, esp. for #corn and #wheat. Some 1.09 mmt of #soybeans were destined for #China. The weekly bean total (1.55 mmt) is larger than any total from 2018/19 - but that's not saying much.

Here's some perspective on U.S. export inspections 3 months into 2019/20 for #corn & #soybeans, 6 months for #wheat. Corn YOY is huge (-), but prior years show just how big last year was. Soy YOY (+) doesn't look as impressive when compared w/ prior. Wheat a little above avg.

That makes 4.1 mmt of #soybeans inspected for #China in Nov. - should be the most for any month since Nov. 2017. Here's the weekly chart (all destinations):

Here's the same charts for #corn and #wheat. Corn hasn't had a > 1 mmt week since May, and last week's wheat total (247kt) was the lightest since the first week in 2018.

African Swine Fever has definitely slashed the growth rate in China's soybean import needs. #ASF #soybeans #oatt
