Some large Co"s refuse to let employees book rooms higher than 5th floor as that is max height a ladder fire truck can reach
Now a question
In senior high rise apt. what happens to those above floor 5 if the fire alarm goes off
When fire alarm goes off, all elevators immediately go to ground floor and stay there
SO: For those unable to make their way quickly down the stairs, are they at max risk. If a person is having trouble does that put all others behind at increased risk to quickly exit the bldg. Would people panic and trample the slower person. How would people feel if it was a minor stove top blaze and quickly extinquished but in mean time people got hurt in a panic, exiting bldg
I know I am not as agile as I used to be, especially on stairs. Some people have breathing problems. The list goes on.
Just something to think about if you look for a retirement home and your personal mobility issues
