President Obama's National Security Adviser, Gen James Jones attended the Atlantic Council Globel Energy Forum (held in Dubai) He told those gathered at the Forum that “What the administration did in the Soleimani case is absolutely correct.”

“It’s a complicated region, but I think history will say that this was the right thing to do.” He described the killing of the Iranian leader as a “potential game changer.”

“It’s clear that the regime in Iran has had a very bad couple of weeks,” Jones said, adding “And one of the things that people don’t talk about too much is the degree of unrest that there is in the country, which I think is significant.”

“So, you take the removal of Soleimani, you take the accidental downing of the civilian aircraft coupled with the amount of popular unrest — the needle toward possible collapse of a regime has to be something that people think about,”

"I would not listen to the appeasers of the world who kind of want to calm the waves.”   Jones asserted that those kind of people “want to get back to normal business and then you have Iran using its proxies to spread terror around the world, interdict shipping, shoot down drones, and things like that. Those days I think are over and I hope Iran understands that,”

I also read somewhere that the massive funeral procession for Soleimani was forcefully ordered by the Iranian government. Now, people are tearing down Soleimani's posters.

Trump tweeted in Farsi {Iranian language) that the US supports the Iranian people in their struggle against their government. This tweet turned out to be the most "liked' tweet of anything referring to Iran in Twitter's history.

Earlier, it was posted on MF that the Iranian government had spread out huge US and Israeli flags on the streets, for people to walk on, Yet, the Iranian people were very careful not to disrespect these flags

Tragic that the airplane was shot down and lives lost but this mistake makes Iran look even worse and helps with support for President Trump.

Who ever thought that one of his most liked tweets would be in Persian!

Brilliant moves.

So the fall out of what has happened in Iran is good???

Canadian lives lost on that airplane don't matter in the bigger picture???

There must have been a driver close or in the car when it was blown to dust and bits of bloody meat, left to tell the tale if there was any bloody meat left, from the car or the air plane

Maybe the people [some of them Canadians] in the airplane and the driver just went "poof" with nothing left???

Iran is enriching and building a nuclear bomb

And you folks applaud all of this as being good???

You folks don't care one bit about other people, so long as it is not one of your own

If Trump does not bend to the deep state, industrial war mongers, he will be impeached

The deep state war mongers just sucked Trump deeper into the ME quaqmire . Is this good???

It won't be that hard to peel enough pubs away to impeach Trump, if he does not do the will of the deep state, war mongers

Just wait and see how all of this unfolds

Bidden is just a diversion for the deep state

The deep state is in control of your country

Why not admit the obvious

You knew all of this when Clinton escaped punishment and it has not changed one bit from then until now.

Either Trump bends to the will of the deep state or he is toast

Not so, Wayne. We all do care about the tragic loss of life in this aircraft incident. We feel sorry for the families who experienced a loss that can never be replaced.

Yet, I can also understand how other people, whose family members were killed by Soleimani's militias, find some kind of closure, hearing about the general's death.

However, the news media, as well as posters on forums such as this one, usually discuss the "big picture", a world removed from the pain and suffering of the individual family. And the original post presented such opinions. Let's not forget that just a few days ago, the mews media told us that Trump may have started started WW3... and we all know what that means... nuclear holocaust, possibly the end of humanity.

And if WW3 can be avoided, that would be "good news".

Furthermore, it is quite obvious that Iran's government is intent on wiping out Israel and killing the "Big Satan", the US. I am quite convinced that they would not hesitate to use a nuclear weapon. I am also convinced that they will work hard on getting such a weapon. Therefore, when we hear that the Iranian People are revolting against their own government, and quietly support Israel and the US, this gives us some hope for a better future in this area.

Was that plane shot down by mistake? Who was on it? A bunch of nuclear scientist? Just looks to covienent.  It was flying to Ukraine. Facial recognition not available there so easier for a fake passport to work. Why didn't that plane fly to Amsterdam? Crime scene, I mean accident scene cleaned up immediately. Story just doesn't make sense

Canadas deputy prime minister owns an apartment in Kiev. Her mother works in the Ukrainian government.  How deep do you want to dig to find out what happened. Or read the deep state headlines and say that's too bad
