I am going to ask a very simple question

How many chinese are equiped with food/water and other neccessities to self quaritine in their house for 14 days

All other house hold members could be carries thus the entire house hold must stay inside

What a really dumb idea

This will not work, but the party insists local officials must wave a magic wand and stop the virus

Typical communists planners

Russia is sending any suspected carrier to Siberia

Communists

And WHO says china is doing such a good job, when the hospital built in 10 days did not have enough supplies, staff etc to be effective. Notice the iron bars on the windows

Communists

And sick people have been sent home, for lack of facilities, medical materials etc. WHO believes the numbers from China

Communists

Hi, wglassfo,

I don’t quite agree with your comments on this one.

Some 400 years ago, the Plague, a virus similar to the Corona, literally killed 1/3 of the population of Europe. Sure, at that time they didn’t have fancy hospitals or antibiotics…..neither did they have air travel or automobiles. (All travel between towns was done by walking or riding a horse). How did it spread so far and killed so many people?

Professor Francis A. Boyle, an expert in bioweapons, called this Corona virus a bioweapon, the likes of which has never been seen before. This virus is very contagious and can jump on you by just being close to an infected person. It has an incubation period of 14 days… a time when a carrier doesn’t even know he has it.

The buzz on the internet is that the number of cases is China is “astronomically” higher than officially reported

The measures taken in China may seem draconian… but what else can they do? Sure, those quickly built hospitals are not what we are used to, but where else can they put infected people and prevent them from infecting other people…. or keep them out of the public by locking them up in their own houses?

Shutting down businesses, travel, schools, etc, seems to be a necessity

I don’t believe any country is really prepared for such an event. China is not the only country that ran out of face masks… same situation in Europe.

And even after quickly building extra hospitals, what country would have enough doctors and nurses to treat an unexpectedly large number of patients?

Needless to say, supplies for just about everything will be gone quickly

What would happen if this happened in our country?
