Warren: Ocasio-Cortez’s $93 Trillion ‘Green New Deal’ Does Not ‘Go Far Enough’

https://www.dailywire.com/news/warren-ocasio-cortezs-93-trillion-green-new-deal-does-not-go-far-enough

"An in depth analysis from the American Action Forum estimated that the far-left Green New Deal could cost up to $93 trillion, a figure that would bankrupt the United States.

“The Green New Deal is clearly very expensive,” the analysis concluded. “Its further expansion of the federal government’s role in some of the most basic decisions of daily life, however, would likely have a more lasting and damaging impact than its enormous price tag.”

https://www.bea.gov/news/2020/gross-domestic-product-fourth-quarter-and-year-2019-advance-estimate

Current dollar GDP increased 3.6 percent, or $191.7 billion, in the fourth quarter to a level of $21.73 trillion.

This is more than 4 times the annual GDP!!!

Since Sanders is the front runner and has been saying the most insane, impossible green new deal/fake climate change things, Warren is going to try to out do him by taking it up to a new level of insanity.........damn the realities or truth..........we want to win this election!

What they are saying completely defies the laws of physics/chemistry/science and energy. It would obliterate the economy and our way of life even if they imposed just 20% of their proposals..........so they are going over 5 times more extreme with their ideas than what is already extreme enough to destroy our country.

If they wanted to push renewable energy to suggest something like 20% of energy in 2030 and at a cost of, let's say 5 trillion(which is still going to hurt our country because cheap, reliable, abundant, power packed fossil fuels will always be the life blood of developed countries) then you could take them serious.

But $93 trillion and no more fossil fuels?

Ironically, cutting out the fossil fuels will crush the economy and we will need to severely cut back on all expenses.

Personal incomes will drop. The government will have less money from taxes (unless they are raised greatly, which will kill the economy even more). Less money than we have today to pay for things like  free college and free health care.

One  thing that would help us to afford the massive expense/penalties of switching to non fossil fuels...........is an economy running at full power because of fossil fuels! But their plan is the opposite of this.

It would be like wanting a new car but not having the money for it. The solution? Quit your job and have even less money for it and plan to buy 5 new cars.

You can see how their Green New Deal is actually the exact recipe to sabotage all their other plans including paying for the Green New Deal.

The absurd thing is that our economy is doing the best that it ever has with the most jobs ever and this is the #1 priority for most people.

They clearly know this and probably this is why they are taking the opposite position because using the fake climate crisis and Green Fairy Tale Deal is the OPPOSITE of Trumps position.

If you tried to make up a plan to ruin our economy, it would be almost impossible to come up with one that does it better than theirs.

It would be like a young healthy person, John Gullible going for a yearly check up to their family physician, Dr. Green Bullshitta.

The patient tells Dr. Bull "I have never felt better in my life!" I'm at the perfect weight and in the best physical condition of my life!!!

Dr. Bull, however tells him that he is in horrible shape and suffering from a physical crisis/emergency that will soon end his life..................that can only be saved with his brand new Green diet that he's putting all his patients on.  They will only eat green leafy vegetables the rest of their life......nothing else ever.

Lettuce, spinach, kale stuff like that and only that.

So John Gullible goes on that diet.......which is severely deficient in calories,  protein, vitamins/minerals.

He loses massive weight(from his perfect weight) including muscle mass. His immune system runs down and he's constantly getting sick and having no energy.

He gets fired from his job because his physical deterioration  has affected his job performance.

This is what Sander's and Warren's plan will do to our economy(-:

So a point to that is that when countries completely overhaul their political or economic system, its almost always because the current one is failing miserably.............people are so bad off, that they become desperate enough to try something different.

If it's a bad system in place, it makes sense to switch to a different one that is doing well in our countries.

However you don't try to fix things that are working extraordinarily well. You might try to fine tune them or change particular things in the system...............healthcare in the US for instance is broken and needs fixing with major government intervention.

However, changing to socialism because of the promise of free stuff........... free healthcare, free college, even non working people getting paid a minimum wage so they can live(and not work). Take all the money from the rich people to pay for it.  Completely eliminate fossil fuels which power the thousands of wonderful devices that make living in 2020 a thousand times better than living in 1820.

It makes no common sense at all to buy into such a fraudulent idea.

Sure the orator, Bernie Sanders is very charismatic and sounds convincing but he is selling political, energy and climate snake oil.

Ironically, he is rich himself. Has 3 houses and burns 10 times more fossil fuels than you or me. He got rich by using capitalism and his political position.

Because he is part of the elite class at the top right now...........he and those other elitists don't have to follow his rules for the rest of us.

But we MUST follow his rules and do exactly as he says or we will lose the entire planet(from a fake climate crisis).

I would not say these uncomplimentary things without having the actual facts.

I used to like Bernie alot and always assumed that he is sincere.
I think his government run health care plan is on the right track to fixing our broken/collapsing health care and medical care system in the US.
I am ok with him raising taxes on the rich.
Those are the good things(for me).  I spent some time looking closer at him and his agenda last year and didn't like him as much after that. Actually, I really dislike a few of the insane, made up things that are fraudulent that he is selling.

This particular comment , if you scroll down in that thread, is especially relevant to his lack of credibility for me:

Canada is a country in the northern part of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98 million square kilometres (3.85 million square miles), making it the world's second-largest country by total area. Its southern border with the United States, stretching some 8,891 kilometres (5,525 mi), is the world's longest bi-national land border. Canada's capital is Ottawa, and its three largest metropolitan areas are Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.

As a whole, Canada is sparsely populated, with most of its land area dominated by forest and tundra. Its population is highly urbanized, with over 80 percent of its inhabitants concentrated in large and medium-sized cities, and 70 percent residing within 100 kilometres (62 mi) of the southern border. Canada's climate varies widely across its vast area, ranging from Arctic climate in the north to hot summers in the southern regions, with four distinct seasons.

Various indigenous peoples inhabited what is now Canada for thousands of years before European colonization. Beginning in the 16th century, British and French expeditions explored and later settled along the Atlantic coast. As a consequence of various armed conflicts, France ceded nearly all of its colonies in North America in 1763. In 1867, with the union of three British North American colonies through Confederation, Canada was formed as a federal dominion of four provinces. This began an accretion of provinces and territories and a process of increasing autonomy from the United Kingdom. This widening autonomy was highlighted by the Statute of Westminster of 1931 and culminated in the Canada Act of 1982, which severed the vestiges of legal dependence on the British parliament.

Canada is a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy in the Westminster tradition, with a monarch and a prime minister who serves as the chair of the Cabinet and head of government.
