Biden vetting a VP

I wonder what Biden considers as the process is to vet a possible VP

I am told financial, past writings and that's about all I know

I would give Warren and Rice an equall 50-50 at this time

Warren is more closely associated with her goals that mesh with Biden

Rice might be more popular with minorities by a huge margin

But if past actions are considered then Rice has a lot of explaining about her role in Libya and Bengazi. This would make Rice very vulnerable to an electorate that uses past actions as a reason to question future actions, or attack ads on TV

I wonder what % of the population really looks at past actions when deciding their vote

Is the segment that considers both sides without bias the swing vote that decides elections

We know both Dems and Pubs have their rock solid base no matter what

I have heard a bit of muttering in farm country about Trump, his trade war and lost grain markets, especially soybeans. I have no idea if this segment is enough to swing very many, if any, electoral college votes. I also doubt if Maine really cares about the price of soybeans.

Personally I don't trust Rice with power. She doesn't seem to know what to do with power except make things worse. And let's face it, if Biden wins, the VP is the power base in the WH. Sleepy Joe will not answer the phone at 3 A:M. He will delegate much decision making to the V.P, who will take that telephone call and we could have another disaster especially with N Korea

Something about Rice that strikes me wrong. Maybe it was all the unmasking she did or that e-mail she sent to herself. Just don't know about that lady

Do you have any thoughts about Bidens choice of running mate for VP???

Warren was on the record with some pretty negative stuff about Biden but she represents the progressive/socialist/extreme/young faction of the party, including my youngest son that dislikes Biden and thought that Sanders got robbed again.

Picking Warren would draw in many of the Bernie people but Biden made a big slip of the tongue "If you vote for Trump, you ain't black" and the George Floyd thing that make picking a BLACK female even more powerful to lock in the black vote............and the progressives may be ok with this but Susan Rice represents old people.

Camela Harris seems to be more with the progressive theme and is a black female.

Funny how we are starting with, whoever he picks, it can't be a man, even a young man.  It needs to be a black woman to get the black vote.............screw the qualifications or agenda, this person is black so we have to vote for them.

And it has to be a woman...........screw the qualifications, this person will be the first VP woman so we have to vote for them.

Not that this is any different than the past with both parties. Trump picked Mike Pence for similar reasons. Actually, he picked a guy who is 10 times more presidential than him and the perfect world for republicans would be him as the president with Trumps agenda/policies.

Seems his first 2 priorities are that his running mate should be female and black.  I wonder what MLK would say about that.... Why should sex or race be a factor?

Leo Terrell: I Will Vote For Trump If Kamala Harris Is Biden's Running Mate

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2020/06/12/leo_terrell_i_will_vote_for_trump_if_kamala_harris_is_bidens_running_mate.html

Civil rights attorney and longtime Democratic commentator Leo Terrell said on Friday that he would not be voting for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for president and if he chooses Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) as his running mate, he will vote for Donald Trump.

"Democrats, please leave the party. If you want law and order, you can not get it from the Democrats," Terrell said Friday on FOX News.
