If I was an average patrolman,knowing that an officer is sitting in jail and most likely will be for a long time, will most likely lose his house and all monies over some idiot passing a counterfeit $20.00 bill, I would think twice about shooting somebody in the back running away.
Its easy to be a Monday morning quarterback,its easy to say police have qualified immunity,but the real truth is,there is alot of dumb policeman.On the local level,the judges aren't much better.

Every profession has flawed people. Dishonest, incompetent, biased, ignorant(of some things).
I have been blown away in my profession by those types, climate scientists having actually been part of the hijacking of climate science and turning the current climate optimum into a climate crisis because they want a world with global socialism to balance the great disparity/inequities in peoples wealth.
Cops, almost all of them want a safer world with less crime............like the rest of us.
There will never be a world, in my life time that doesn't require a large presence of crime fighting cops(in urban settings).
How they go about fighting crime, knowing their many human flaws is what we should be focused on...........not whether we need them or not. We need them badly............all of them.
I say that we start a new movement "defund the politicians" How about it Mike?
I dont think politicans should be paid. I've been a volunteer fireman for 40 years,been in alot of hazardous situations just like policeman,I dont receive a penny. I volunteer to help manage a multimillon budget for the fire dept,dont receive a penny.
If I can do this for my community for free,so can a politican.
