Whether or not a Trump fan,  I'd think most would think this was funny and ironic. I think it serves him right with his constant bragging about his huge crowds and belittling others.

For sure very interesting result and a 100% good thing.

1. As mentioned numerous times last week, scheduling a rally with that many people smashed together, cheering  and not wearing masks during a pandemic was really dumb and based on very  bad judgement.

2. The risk for coming to this event was headline news for many days ahead of time. Rates in that area have been going way up the past week. Smart Trump supporters heeded those warnings. It's amazing that they got 6,000 people considering the legit threat to their health.

3. This was NOT a well received/popular event. They tried to pass a court order blocking it. Not only was there a serious, legit threat to everybody's health, some were concerned that violent counter protests might show up. Smart people stayed home.

3. They did Trump a huge favor. You know that the MSM, which is celebrating this as a crushing victory over Trump, will be watching the COVID numbers in Oklahoma for the next 2 weeks. Had there been 19,000+ more outside, you can bet any increase in new infections would have been blamed on Trump, along with deaths. An increase in COVID numbers now, with the fact that only 6,000 showed up,  may still be blamed on the rally, however, it makes it tougher to sell  that the new case increase (and deaths) are  Trumps fault because so many people came to his rally, when their previous position was that not many people came to his rally...........but they probably do it anyway.

4. The most telling thing about the result is those celebrating fraud as a good thing. In their world, being dishonest and tricking somebody with fraud is a good thing.........as long as you hate that person or they are somebody that has different views than you. Imagine if people opposing Biden did this. The interpretation would have been the polar opposite.............(find those people and hold them accountable vs this case, where they are hero's because there are no rules or ethical codes when it comes to obliterating Trump. I have mentioned countless times how despicable I find many of the things that Trump says. However his enemies are even worse than that..........they are diabolical in their actions. You can't take a moral high ground, attacking a person for their words/actions,  when your actions to obliterate them are even worse then theirs!

The hypocrisy is profound!

5. A specific code and standard for people and things that we support........a completely different code and standard for people and things we don't support.

Opening up to stimulate the economy or gathering for church services =bad.

Millions gathered for protests =good

Thousands gathered for a Trump rally =really bad

Sabotaging the success of a Trump rally with fraud =Award winning good

                     Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez                    @AOC

Actually you just got ROCKED by teens on TikTok who flooded the Trump campaign w/ fake ticket reservations & tricked you into believing a million people wanted your white supremacist open mic enough to pack an arena during COVID

Shout out to Zoomers. Y’all make me so proud. ☺️ https://twitter.com/parscale/status/1274484815576907778 …

And of course, Trump as usual over hyped and exaggerated the event but that was part of the fraud/trick to use against him if I'm not mistaken. Trick him into thinking a zillion people wanted to come and get him to over hype based on the trick, then pull the rug out and point to his over hyping as the problem, making him look foolish..............but at the same time, brag about how your effective trick/fraud  is what caused it to happen.

I'm repeating that here to make sure that I have that right and am not missing something because I could be totally missing something. If so, please let me know and I will adjust any statements.

Regardless, its often feels like I spend way to much time on stuff like this but our entire world revolves around whatever Trump did or said today.

Oklahoma: New daily positives with the much higher rate of testing and opening up.............and widespread protesting with no social distancing has gone way up in Oklahoma this past month. A rally with 19,000 people is about the dumbest thing to do. A rally with 6,000 is only 30% as dumb (-:

Possibly, half of this is from the increase in testing. Some is surely from opening up and some may be from the protests.

Deaths  have been going down steadily for 2 months, including last week.

Until you started this thread, I hadn't checked to see what happened last night but  there was more than just the 6,000 in the stadium with Trump saying crazy things.

Armed protesters peacefully march on Oklahoma Governor's Mansion

https://oklahoman.com/article/5665067/armed-protesters-peacefully-march-on-governors-mansion

Between 150 and 200 protesters peacefully marched from the Ralph Ellison Library to the Governor's Mansion on Saturday to deliver a double-barreled message.

“We aren’t going to allow people to come into our communities and brutalize us,” event organizer Omar Chatman said before the event. “If you come into our community, know we are armed.”

The 1000 Brothers and Sisters in Arms protest might not have approached its eponymous numbers, but it bore enough artillery to pop the National Rifle Association's buttons.

Community organizer Michael Washington was among the speakers who said the march was a response to the recent killings of Black men by police as well as local cases they want reopened.

The march, made up mostly of Black men but with plenty of diversity, commenced from 2000 NE 23 just after 2:30 p.m., slowing oncoming traffic as it headed west before landing at the north gate of the Governor's Mansion about 20 minutes later and created a blockade.

Gov. Kevin Stitt was not at the residence. He was in Tulsa for President Donald Trump's campaign rally.

Washington gathered protesters while support vehicles blocked off traffic on NE 23, in both directions, with help from the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Chatman, 41 and a certified family counselor, took the bullhorn flanked by Pan-African flags, and exhorted the gathered to settle on the north side of the street.

"We must be civilized," he told the crowd before launching into an oratory reiterating the reasons for the protest, and the reasons they came armed — namely dissatisfaction with police.

"Their job is not to patrol and control," Chatman said. "How can this Governor live in a predominantly Black side of town but allow the police to execute us when we have our hands in the air?

"This is systematic racism, deep in the heart of America."

Chatman referenced a recent case in which two parole officers on a home visit ordered two Black children, ages 5 and 8, to the ground. He called the incident "intolerable."

"We don't want just their badges taken, we don't want just their guns taken," Chatman said. "We want them in jail!"

Chatman, who was armed with an AR-15, said, "All too often on this side of town, police have acted as judge, jury and executioner."

Following Chatman was Charles Pettit Sr., whose son C.J. was killed by a Midwest City police officer in 2015. Pettit pleaded with the governor to reopen the case based on video evidence he believes tells a different story than the report.

Washington and Chatman walked a letter with their demands to a security guard at the gate to end the event.

Demands included the reopening of the C.J. Pettit Jr. case, state laws that hold law enforcement officers accountable when they are found to be at fault in any incident of police activity, police officers be required to carry their own liability insurance, and an investigation into the United States for human rights violations of its Black population by the International World Court."

metmike: I thought this side was against guns??

Regardless, I also think they may have a good point in this case if there is evidence that cops were at fault in these incidents and it was covered up. I'm  not familiar enough with the facts to know if that was the case but in the past, it has happened all too often and that is exactly one of the things that need to change with police.

Don't defund them but hold them accountable....TRANSPARENCY.  We need all of them to be properly trained. Authentic accountability,  with body cams and fair assessments of behavior/actions with objective  evaluations using revised, high standard protocol imposed universally,  when done property takes care of much of the problem..............the bad cops automatically go bye bye(and are replaced by good cops) when they step out of line. The good cops stay (vast majority)and help all communities to be safer as well as act as good role models when interacting with citizens, providing more confidence in them.

Tough, seemingly impossible objective right now, with cops on the top of many peoples hate list and the decades of cops NOT being transparent or held accountable.........but it CAN work. Almost everybody seems to agree that is serious on making progress via better policing, including police organizations. If the democrats want to make progress on this, instead of wearing fancy African apparelal and removing statutes........work with the republicans and Trump/Biden(who also need to be tenacious imposing verifiable changes) to make sure laws are in place that require police to be held accountable.

These people make big 6 figure incomes, c'mon, instead of being obsessed with getting votes and looking good to be elected again, assert yourselves and create the real changes that we know are needed and they have the power to make.

Trump supporters, protesters face off outside Oklahoma rally

https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/06/21/trump-supporters-protesters-face-off-outside-oklahoma-rally/

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — President Donald Trump’s supporters faced off with protesters shouting “Black Lives Matter” Saturday in Tulsa as the president took the stage for his first campaign rally in months amid public health concerns about the coronavirus and fears that the event could lead to violence in the wake of killings of Black people by police.

Hundreds of demonstrators flooded the city’s downtown streets and blocked traffic at times, but police reported just a handful of arrests. Many of the marchers chanted, and some occasionally got into shouting matches with Trump supporters, who outnumbered them and yelled, “All lives matter.”

Across the street, armed, uniformed highway patrol troopers milled about a staging area in a bank parking lot with dozens of uniformed National Guard troops.

Tulsa has seen cases of COVID-19 spike in the past week, and the local health department director asked that the rally be postponed. But Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt said it would be safe. The Oklahoma Supreme Court on Friday denied a request that everyone attending the indoor rally wear a mask, and few in the crowd outside Saturday were wearing them.

"...4. The most telling thing about the result is those celebrating fraud as a good thing..."

I didn't think of it this way.... however, you are totally correct. I saw numerous tweets of fathers being proud of their 14-15 year-olds for having pulled a fast one on Trump, by ordering thousands of tickets, with no intention of using them. Yes, this is a mild case of internet fraud. What message does this send to those young computer geniuses? What's next?... voter fraud?.... identity theft?

MSNBC criticized Trump (again) for possibly causing an increase in Covid infections, while at the same time praising the anti-Trump  protesters for showing up, even though they were possibly causing an increase in Covid infections.

Sometimes I wonder.... does the public not see the never-ending blatant hipocrisy?

People are having their ability to see things objectively conditioned out of their brains........seriously.

News sources are getting more and more one sided/biased and sensationalized, much of which is to increase ratings/readership, some of which is to impose the belief system of the journalist/authors.

People are drawn to sources that TELL the news the way they want to hear/read it which is causing a positive feedback(sources that are biased, are rewarded and they increase the bias).

It's gotten so bad in some places, like CNN and the NYT, when it comes to some issues, especially President Trump that instead of, objective reporting from professional journalists telling both sides,  a psychiatrist would diagnose this type of  reporting as being that of people neurotically obsessed with brainwashing people to believe their personal opinions in specific political realms.

Same thing in social media and other places.

The end result if a vast majority that sees political issues as black or white(outside of race).

Everything on my side is always right and represents everything good. Your side is always wrong and represents bad.........and if it's Trump, multiply it X 10 and juice it up with massive hate............the most damaging emotion that always blinds us/causes tunnel vision that only sees and hopes for bad things to happen to the person  they hate...........and even the people that support the person that they hate.

Of course Trump supporters are blind to alot of things too.

Watch somebody like Chris Cuomo on CNN in the evening and you will get a sample of it. Gifted communicator. Very expressive and passionate. Says lots of wonderful things about making the world a better place (that he does not practice in his personal life-where he is a mean bully) but is extraordinarily convincing with his constant case of how evil that everything that President Trump stands for is and its clear how much he hates him...........and is doing his best(successfully) to get his viewers to feel the same way.

In watching him for years, I can't remember him mentioning 1 good thing about president Trump.

People would not watch him constantly(other than strange exceptions like me) unless they enjoyed being fed propaganda by him............which of course defines their world more and more as he is on a pedestal and helps form their version of reality.

You really can't offset that with anything because those people will not turn on Fox news to get the other side(and Fox viewers will get a very biased other side and never watch CNN).

It now defines who most people are and society in general and the current dynamic, is set up perfectly to magnify it with continual positive feedback.

Because we have freedom of the press in this country, this right will continue to be abused by the gatekeepers of information(that includes the 2 political parties that are fighting for votes by appealing most to "their" parties needs) and their is no conceivable scenario that would fix this.

As bad as it is now, it's hard to imagine it getting worse but it's been getting worse as we head towards the upcoming election.

There is nothing one side would interpret as being unethical if it were done in order to try to obliterate Trump.

And now AOC assures us that fraud is worthy of applause if it furthers goals for the left, as in the alleged fraud with the Trump Rally Tickets.  This is an elected official sworn to protect and uphold the laws of this nation.

Tim,

AOC is the future!

Unless you know of a way to revive dead conservatives from the grave, more like her are coming and their numbers will overwhelm conservatives.

Even if Trump pulls the rabbit out of a hat trick again in November.

It's happening in Europe right now, ask Gunter. Backlash from dying conservatives like Brexit and Trump are last hurrahs.

Global socialism is coming. The Climate Accord is entirely about that with the United NATIONS taking more and more control as our leader.

Balancing wealth and resources ( more  fairly and evenly distributing them around the world is a main objective)and severely cutting back on the over consumption of natural resources in the rich countries

This is not speculation. It's just a matter of how quickly this will make progress.

Anti Science Greta is all about this. She is to the world as AOC is to the US with regards to this realm.  They are powerful recruiters of many, many millions of young people, to their belief system.

We are in the early stages of a cultural revolution that has been planned for several decades and been gradually gaining traction........now positioned with key players and leadership and gaining momentum so that actual substantive changes to our way of life are just around the corner.

In 2030, the planet will be even greener than this. Life will be doing even better and we will have added another decade to the best weather and climate in the last 1,000 years and it will still be a scientific climate optimum not a climate crisis.

But the FAKE climate crisis, will have accomplished its mission..........tricking people into supporting governments to take extreme measures to save the (greening) planet by switching to socialism and getting rid of those nasty fossil fuels that cause our economies to be so strong and force  us to have these wonderful,  top quality lives by gobbling up too many natural resources.

If/when people discover that we really are having a climate optimum, the people that would vote/support going back to the current system will have been completely overwhelmed with the AOC's who will have complete control and support from the young and growing voters.

For the past 3+ decades, while you and others in the rich countries were enjoying/reaping the benefits of capitalism, blissfully overconsuming more than your share of the worlds natural resources in a way that some consider unsustainable......mostly oblivious to the brilliant, master plan of the UN and others to change yours/and everybody else's way of life permanently.

They hijacked climate science in the 1980's, created the IPCC as the entire worlds go to authority on all climate science  (actually rewrote climate history to wipe out the Medieval Warm Period, 1,000 years ago) and have been attempting to get control thru climate agreements, like the Paris CLimate Accord..........which is only the latest one.

When/if Biden is elected, one of the first things that he will do is sign the US back up into the Climate Accord, commit at least several billion dollars and we can watch the march to global socialism accelerating much faster.

99.9% sure of that if Biden is elected.

If Trump is elected, it just gets delayed by several years. If he is elected, the dems will go for another impeachment, especially if they would win more seats in congress.

There IS NO STOPPING THIS!

U.N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked

In most realms, the complete opposite has been happening for 3 decades. Instead of disasters, the benefits of modest global warming and massive productivity gains to world food production and the planets biosphere from the entirely beneficial gas, CO2 increasing have been 10 times greater than the bad things.

That's authentic science! Biology, agronomy, zoology, plant science, meteorology/climate.

Here's some politics for you........................CO2 = pollution

If you want to have a cultural revolution, chaos and defunding the police enforcing law and order are absolutely desirable.

However, most people in this country are clearly not close to being ready to accept this and will cling to law and order/safety/protection on this issue which will backfire on the progressives who are going too far, too fast.

It's Trumps only chance.

For them to scare enough people on the fence more than Trump scares them!

That is hilarious. Only 6,000 Trump supporters were dumb enough to risk their health at a rally and potential confrontation from protesters outside but 2,000 times that number actually watched from the safety of their homes.

Trump rally delivers Saturday-record 7.7 million viewers on Fox News

https://thehill.com/homenews/media/503908-trump-rally-delivers-saturday-record-77-million-viewers-on-fox-news

"President Trump's rally in Tulsa, Okla., generated the largest Saturday audience in Fox News Channel's 24-year history in delivering 7.7 million viewers, according to the early Nielsen data."

"The Trump campaign also says 4 million additional unique viewers watched on streaming platforms online(for a total of almost 12 million which is 2,000 viewers for every person at the rally).

12,000 empty seats in the stadium was greatly disappointing for the Trump people but his supporters must be alot smarter than him (-:
