Presidents to meet Sunday amid pressure from parents, players, coaches

If things move quickly, the Big Ten could start an eight-game season in about a month, and still compete for a spot in the College Football Playoff. While some Big 12 and Atlantic Coast Conference teams began their seasons Saturday, and more will next week, the Southeastern Conference is not scheduled to kick off until Sept. 26.

The Big Ten postponed its fall season Aug. 11 because of concerns about playing through the coronavirus pandemic, with presidents and chancellors voting 11-3 in favor. Ohio State, Iowa and Nebraska voted against postponement.

President Donald Trump called Warren to encourage the conference to reconsider. After watching and listening to how racial issues are visible on the field by some players I don't want any thing to do with watching foot ball. The playing field before activity happens is no place to express your racial thoughts. Save it for the demonstrations, [peaceful demonstrations]

When the Brooklyn bridge and other public services are impacted, and then football is included in any demonstration that is when I  lose any interest or sympathy. Plus the constant use of the F word makes me understand why these people are losers.

Low TV ratings will end up with reduced big salaries

this entire mess is just so embarrassing. Animals running the zoo across this country. Examples all over how silly it all is. Example, Iowa State playing, Iowa not. Notre Dame playing Purdue not. Its madness.
