Quick! Hurry! It’s time to rewrite the history books for our schoolkids.

The older folks here may remember that the Soviet Union had invaded Afghanistan, a long time ago. A local group of fighters gave them a hard time by engaging in a guerilla war against the Soviets. They called themselves the “Mujahedeen”.

Our Deep State quickly realized that this was an opportunity to covertly fight the Soviets. The US sent agents over there and supported, armed and trained the Mujahedeen.

Even Hollywood got involved and sent Rambo and James Bond to fight side by side with these ‘freedom fighters”.

There were also a bunch of Arab fighters in Afghanistan, under the leadership of a guy named Osama bin Ladin. And Osama became our friend.

Fast forward to 2001…

9/11 happened, and Osama was no longer our friend. Since he was hiding out with his allies in Afghanistan, the US invaded Afghanistan to find him, and at the same time wipe out his allies. The Mujahedeen now had a new name… they are now called the “Taliban”, and they are no longer considered to be “freedom fighters”, they are now “Islamic Extremists”.

And so started the 17-year long war in Afghanistan.

Fast forward to 2020…..

We are now friends with the Taliban again, because ISIS has shown up in Afghanistan, and we are now secretly supporting the Taliban.

fast forward to 2030….

Don’t know yet what the story will be then.

If you think about it I will name just a few

We fought Germany in WW11

Today German is an ally and trading partner

We fought Japan in WW11

Today Japan is an ally and a trading partner

We fought a war in Vietnam

Today we trade with Vietnam

History is filled with enemies that become allies and trading partner

Who will be the next trading partner???

That's just a normal progression of events and how the world finds enemies and allies

But I agree: who would have thought Germany and Japan would be trading partners if you were the person who had to storm the beaches
