Truckers Strike

Seems like the truckers are not very happy. When I was trucking, I was caught in more than one trucker strike, plus more than one plant which was on strike and did various tactics to discourage me from crossing the picket line. Some times I did not cross, some times it was a mere formality and some times I was escorted on to plant grounds and then out of town with guards armed with shot guns holstered inside the doors

This trucker strike sounds serious but so far the strike does not seem to have an end game. Any strike I was involved with had an end game of demands that the strikers wanted. Once I was so fed up with obstruction that I pulled my rig away from the dock, drove a mile down the road for breakfast. Then I called dispatch, after I knew the plant needed my parts, or they would be forced to shut down. This was the days of just in time delivery. My boss asked me what was my problem. I said I would go back but some body needed to work out a plan, to stop obstructing my work. My demand had an end game and was resolved to my satisfaction

I hope these truckers have an end game, not just dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs

It is true, truckers can shut the economy down in approx 1 week, and sooner in some things

If you don't believe me, then you haven't been paying attention to the number of trucks arriving in NYC every day
