at a time, when the school system is falling apart, trying to teach kids online, the SF school board had nothing better to do than changing the names of 44 schools. "Offending" names, such as Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, Francis Scott, etc, had to go.

Sad to see decision making like this though. Trying to wipe out the past because humans during that era had flaws.
In 100 years, they will look back at this age and the made up climate crisis(I'm a practicing environmentalist dedicated to a cleaner planet but not hijacking and rewriting climate history like they just did).
Maybe the people in 2121 will decide to wipe out some of todays history because it was based on junk science and people rioting to vilify white cops...................when 99% of blacks are being killed for reasons that need to be addressed other than white cops.
Maybe the great scientists and philosophers of the past should have their names taken out of the halls of respect and recognition because those dumb arses believed in slavery and thought the sun revolved around the earth!!
Fact is, humans evolve and become more civilized with time.
It is totally unfair and unjust to use 2021 standards to judge people that lived 100+ years ago, who were just living by the acceptable standards of that day/age.
Almost every country in the world had legalized slavery at one time. Women only got the right to vote in the US just over 100 years ago.
There were many thousands of years of rich history that occurred prior to then that featured countless worthy accomplishments which are deserving of full recognition for the accomplishment............not judging because society back then was primitive compared to us woke genius's in this age.
