Maybe you need to be reminded again about what Trump actually did:

Personally, I think that after he was out of office, it's not Constitutional to impeach him  but if you are trying to make a case for things that Obama did as being impeachable now, they fall far short of anything even close to  being in the vicinity of what Trump just did.

I realize that you disagree with that and me repeating the same solid evidence over and over will make no difference because the sources that you go to will tell you what you want to hear..............and that's what you will continue to believe.

I will always tell you things based entirely on objective facts and completely independent of politics.

My point was not to defend Obama. And the damage that Trump did with the insurrection was tiny and is being blown way out of proportion.

It was what he did for 2 months before the insurrection.

The MSM is playing up the insurrection like it was another 9-11.

Exaggerating everything by 10 times and assigned all sorts of evil intentions and maximizing the vilification of the people there and anybody that felt the same way.

Architect Of The Capitol Outlines $30 Million In Damages From Pro-Trump Riot

The cost of repairing damages from the attack on the U.S. Capitol and related security expenses have already topped $30 million and will keep rising, Architect of the Capitol J. Brett Blanton told lawmakers on Wednesday.

The events of Jan. 6, he said, were "difficult for the American people and extremely hard for all of us on campus to witness."

"The price tag will go even higher, Blanton told lawmakers on the House Appropriations Committee, if the fence and other security measures are needed beyond March."

Trump is out of office but now, they want to maximize the damage by stereotyping anybody that supported Trump as a racist.

According to them, this was not a riot based on the belief that the election was stolen, it was entirely a bunch of white supremacists/racists rioting against minorities.

For sure there were racists in that group with some clearly showing it by how they dressed or brought with them but stereotyping them all to be that way? And the rest of the party?

C'mon. I thought this was the party against profiling................. of blacks by cops.

‘This is America,’ where white insurrection is tolerated and Black protest suppressed

metmike: Yeah, like the fact that the people at this protest,  were not there to protest cops and didn't have a main objective of injuring and even killing the cops in some cases, didn't have anything to do with the fact that the cops acted differently.

I have been outspoken against racism my entire adult life............and would not defend racist acts of any kind.

1. Condemn the insurrection based on the objective facts.............Trump CAUSED it, for one thing and it was a despicable act. His 2 months of bs-ing got these people enraged because he misled intentionally.

2. Prosecute everyone that broke the law. They were a very small minority.

3. Condemn individuals there who did not break the law but displayed symbols of racism. Those individuals were also despicable. They were a very small minority.

4. Help the majority that came to protest in peace to understand they were misled by Trump and that Biden did NOT steal the election. This was the most secure election in history and this can be proven with the facts.

5. Let the facts and evidence speak for you, not political agenda, spinning of facts and false narratives intended to obliterate the other side because you hate them.

6. When you bring racism into a discussion, you need to be dang sure you are properly describing the actions and identifying, specifically the people, including an accurate assessment of who and how many and what the racist act was........honestly/objectively.

When you USE race, exaggerate the act and assign racism to a massive numbers of non racist people, you cheapen the definition of racism and the effort to fight it. You turn it into a political thing vs a universal principle that all people will support................from both sides of the aisle.

When you accuse people who are NOT racist of being racist, you permanently obliterate your credibility with them. Next time, when there really is racism, they will never believe you.

For instance, in this case, how many republicans would agree that this insurrection was motivated by racism? Or that they, as Trump supporters must be racist too.

Mainly its just democrats that think this.

This means that its counter productive to further the cause for racial justice because you are actually turning off republicans who feel its an abuse....and using the race card .............again.

Both sides agreed on George Floyd. Its not always that clear though.
