The US election system is NOT broken.

It has some problems that can be adjusted and improved upon but the 2020 election was likely the most secure election in recent history by many objective standards.

The sore loser convinced tens of millions of people that the election was stolen with numerous (proven) false allegations repeated thousands of times and their captured brains/cognitive bias that refuse to believe hundreds of facts and evidence that proved beyond a shadow of a doubt, over and over and over that Biden won fair and square by a large enough margin that makes it  absurd to even question.

Some of the so called proof that was shown to be a scam here was laughable.......but facts and truth just don't matter in today's world anymore compared to manufactured facts and narratives.  Repeat them long enough by people on your side that you want to believe and they define your subjective reality.

People just go to their favorite echo chambers to read/listen to the news told the way they like to hear/read it, then insist this is the reality because their far left or far right source, and people there told them that it was.

so I guess what you are repeating is although we have the will, the technology, and the right to know the results accurately and timely we should just accept that some races were not settled for weeks....even to the point of the speaker surmising she may intercede.

Can we atleast agree on photo ID where we learned this week that to travel to and be admitted to a Coke share holders meeting you must have it but not to protect out most sacred right? Just how childish is this non sense? And now the most wok in baseball have moved the all=star game from a mostly black city to a mostly white city to what??? Well to protest new voting laws that are clearly fair, needed and better than many states currently have.

I'm for voter ID, this is a good law that gives people more confidence and makes voter fraud less likely.

If you have a problem with it because its tougher for some people to get photo/voter ID..........the solution is obvious.............create situations that make it easier for EVERYBODY to get photo ID. The problem isn't the voter ID law, which makes sense. Fix the actual problem so EVERYBODY can have photo ID that wants it.

Arguments for and against voter identification laws

https://ballotpedia.org/Arguments_for_and_against_voter_identification_laws

"As of April 2021, 35 states enforced (or were scheduled to begin enforcing) voter identification requirements. A total of 20 states required voters to present photo identification at the polls; the remainder accepted other forms of identification. Valid forms of identification differ by state. Commonly accepted forms of ID include driver's licenses, state-issued identification cards, and military identification cards."

What they are doing in Georgia is total political bs and completely counter productive!

We live in a world where 2 political sides take extreme views on most things. Very often, one side is completely right and the other side is completely wrong and there is no middle ground.

The people on both sides are convinced that they are right all the time and can no longer distinguish between authentic facts and manufactured facts with false narratives.

I’m in favor of ID being required to have one’s vote counted. What I’d like to also see would be everyone not having a driver’s license having easy access to ID so that there’d be no way to consider those with driver’s licenses having an advantage over those without one. I know Mike is thinking similarly.

easy? they are provided free of charge at endless locations. hell if you vote D they will provide them to your door but all will have the same picture on them, laminated and everything. Also included in the deal will be transportation, which candidate to vote for education, free food and water, and 100 dollar gift certificates to the fast food place of your choice. Cradle to grave, big government inching its way into every aspect of once independent American life. After all, most minority's cannot think for themselves according those now in charge.

Exactly Larry. Instead of one side crying FOUL! because this is supposedly discriminating against poor voters who don't have voter ID, if they were being honest and sincere about that being the REAL problem.... they would be offering solutions to fix the REAL problem with common sense solutions.........create more opportunities for poor people to get picture  ID.

No brainer because that CAN BE FIXED.

But this solution is no brainer only if they were being honest about the reason to object.

There could be  other reasons to object and none of them are good that I can think of.

1. They actually don't want more secure elections. They want to be able to cheat if they can. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say this probably is not it.

2. They want to use the race card again, with yet another fake racism accusation of their opponents to smear the opponent and give the appearance that they are standing up for black people.

3. The fact that they were/are pushing for a boycott of Georgia, that would hurt black businesses and black people(while not helping blacks get picture ID) would suggest to an objective observer, that this is not about actually helping black people but instead, it's about getting control of political power using a fake narrative that will hurt whoever they have to hurt to accomplish their objectives.

What do you guys think?

I think all three of your ideas are valid.
