Proving once again that she, as most leftists, have no idea as to why we are different and why that's a blessing. We had/have the most successful experience in self government in the history of humanity. That she, and most on the left, wish to fundamentally transform all that is all an educated voter needs to disqualify them.

I’m sure you realize the filibuster is not an original component of our system of law making.
Originally a majority vote ended debate, like the house. Then that rule was dropped and a senator could not be interrupted while speaking. Eventually it went back to a vote to stop a senator requiring 60 votes, that was in the early 1900s.
The filibuster has been perverted to the point where it prevents the senate from functioning as a governing body. Just the threat of a filibuster now is enough.
If they went back to the talking filibuster I think that would be a compromise. If a senator feels strongly enough, they should put forth the effort. It would encourage compromise since the person reading the phone book into the congressional record comes across as a fool on the evening news.
So it’s nothing sacred, but it does make us unique. That’s not always a good thing.
