metmike: Arctic ice is sea ice. When it melts, there is NO contribution to sea levels because its already in the sea.

Antarctic ice is mostly land ice. If it were to melt, sea levels could soar higher.........which is what models and alarmists sell us on in predicting the oceans to go up by a large number of feet by the end of this century.

At the current rate, however the seas will be up just over a foot by the end of the century.

metmike: Personally, I wouldn't draw an upsloping trendline but for sure the ice is NOT melting.

Arctic ice has been NOT melting as fast this Summer too.

We are ABOVE the last 4 years and well above the low set in 2012.
