For only the second time since the franchise relocated to Atlanta in 1966, the Braves are World Series champions.
Paced by three home runs, and backed by six shutout innings from starter Max Fried, the Braves defeat the Houston Astros 7-0 in Game 6, in the process capturing the crown that had eluded them since 1995.

HOUSTON — The Braves were six games out of first place in the NL East on July 28, didn’t get over .500 for good until Aug. 8 and finished the regular season with just 88 wins.
But on Tuesday, they ended a 26-year drought with their first World Series title since 1995, clinching the championship with a 7-0 victory over the Astros in Game 6 at Minute Maid Park.
metmike: Wow! Who would have expected this at the All Star Break!
Congrats, Braves! Longtime fan here going way back to many years when they weren't good. Example? 1985, the year of the Rick Camp game. the Braves were pretty bad but that didn't stop me from watching them. Rick Camp game (7/4-5/1985) was on til almost 4 AM!
I was thinking of you and Tim when I posted this Larry!
I remember you posted some stats on this Braves game:
