The 2.9 mmt of U.S. #soybeans inspected for export in the week ended Nov. 4 was among the all-time highs, though there remains a nearly 800kt discrepancy between inspections and the exports reported by weekly export sales on Friday (3.7 mmt).

U.S. #soybeans headed to their destinations during peak shipping season. Steady line of cargoes en route to #China, many of which recently left the U.S. Gulf or Pacific Northwest.

How much of a country's #corn or #wheat needs is covered by imports? For most importers, foreign grain accounts for a good chunk of yearly consumption. But not for #China, where the corn and wheat crops are 2.5x larger than for all other countries on this list combined.
