well this is no good. We need to destroy that stuff right now. If the statue it self must be ruined and the history surrounding it raped then what are we thinking. Lets burn that history found buried deep before we corrupt any more BLM minds out there. How can we do otherwise after destroying so much history the last couple of years to placate the protestors and rioters.  Oh Dear Kamala where are you in this fight for justice? You have been such a beacon for truth, please speak out.

Thanks mcfarm,

Sounds like there could be some fascinating items in there.

"Lets burn that history found buried deep before we corrupt any more BLM minds out there"

I realize that you're being sarcastic but intentionally going to a mega extreme to mischaracterize the other side, so that it can be attacked as being too extreme is counterproductive.

BTW, generally,  I am with you on being strongly against destroying the reputations of past leaders because they followed some of the accepted norms in society during their lives........that included owning slaves.

Using those standards to judge great scientists and great minds of the past, based on what we know about science today..........would judge many of them as ignorant for not knowing what we teach to our youth in science classes today.

The ethics of human societies have also evolved, learned and advanced/progressed with time.

These people could not have known what we know today..........about science or about ethics and many other things.

We aren't all born with it printed in our DNA.

We learn almost all of  it growing up in whatever age we grew up.

If you don't want to accept that fact as part of history, then you are ignoring the most important part of racism. IT'S LEARNED from people that teach it to those that accept it.

Society taught and accepted racism 200 years ago.

Society taught and accepted that the world/earth was flat 800 years ago.

Should we denigrate any work done by great minds in that age, that got us to where we are today because they believed that?

"destroying reputations" does not begin to describe the folly of what's been happening. They are rewriting history. Period. End of story. There is an agenda. There is a goal. There is an end and none of it is good for this country especially its youth who are robbed of an incredible good history lesson.
