I heard a report on CNBC business that FB had a decline in users for the first time in the company's history.  There is a saturation point of willing computer owners on the planet.  Perhaps FB has hit that saturation point?  Also, young folks are engaging in other social media platforms like TikTok (which is still privately owned)

What I am hearing from my friends Grandkids is that FB is for old folks.  They use TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat now.  Probably a few others, but that is what comes to mind.
