I'm going on vacation in the RV next week.  Probably has something to do with it.

Other than that,  I'm not sure.  Some sabre rattling somewhere? We'll hear sooner or later.

Oil prices surge higher, with WTI crude soaring 4.3% to a fresh, seven-year-high $93.80 a barrel, after a PBS report indicating the US believes Russia's Putin has decided to invade Ukraine and has communicated those plans to the Russian military. WTI had been on track for its first weekly decline in seven weeks, partly due to hopes for an easing of Russian-Ukraine tensions. But prices are now set for an eighth-straight weekly increase. The global benchmark Brent climbs 3.8% to $94.86. (dan.molinski@wsj.com)

looks like that caused ng to spike higher too at the same time.

Russia has a massive ng pipe line going to Europe. I'm wondering if the ng price in Europe REALLY spiked higher!

"It's the msm."  LOL. As if the media could dupe smart money.

If the attack happens, prices go still higher.  If Putin pulls back at the brink, we'll see the gains reversed.
