Last week, U.S. #ethanol output hit a 2-month low of 995kbpd, but a big spike in usage cut more than 4% off stocks.

Stocks at 24.8M barrels are off from the recent high of 26.5M two weeks ago, but otherwise, recent levels had only been observed early in the pandemic in 2020.

U.S. demand for motor gasoline has slipped in recent weeks as pump prices hit all-time highs last month.

Demand usually builds in spring toward summer, but it's sinking instead.

AAA data shows U.S. average price at $4.08/gal on Wed versus w/ $4.33 a month ago & $2.86 a year ago.
