Quiz: what do "1", "2", "346", "10,000", etc, all have in common? Don't think too hard. I could have picked out numerous other examples. This is just a random list and there's nothing significant about the ones I listed. I'm simply asking, what are all of these things that I typed out called?

They are all ______s. Please fill in the blank. The word begins with "n".

Thank you for your time.

They are all.............NumberS......... Just kidding.

I'll not give a real guess until others have a shot at it and will keep this post near the top this week.

I hope that's not actually it?

Mike,

Thanks for your answer. I hope others answer, too, but that may never happen due to somewhat limited traffic.

Regarding your answer, I'll just say for now that correct or not it will be involved in the discussion to come.

7475 said a "natural number".

7475,

Your answer will also be in the discussion. I'd like to add that with your handle being "7475", you're a "natural" to be in this thread as I could have included "7475" in my list.

Hey Mike,

I was originally looking for only one word.

The "N" in aircraft registration numbers is a country designation - this case United States- pretty sure. And its sometimes referred to as a "N" number.

But that is not relevant here. The anticipation is killing me Wx.

Thanks for all guesses to this point. I haven't forgotten about this. I've been out of pocket and will respond as soon as I get some more time.

 Any other guesses?

I actually thought more about it and still can only come up with "numbers" or a derivation of it, like numerals.

Also naturals......a type of number.

Please end the suspense Larry!

Hey John,

To be fair, yes, the numerals I listed all represent natural numbers.
