U.S. export inspections last week included 405kt #corn and 75kt #soybeans to #China, though beans missed trade expectations for a second straight week.

Holy #wheat sales! USA sells over 1 mmt last week, incl. to #China (265kt), S Korea (148kt), Mexico (91kt). Brazil bought 30kt 23/24 wheat. China cancelled at least 2 cargoes old crop #soybeans, Egypt cxld 1, tho China bought some new crop. China/Japan bought new #corn.

#Brazil says it will not be able to start exporting #corn to #China until mid-2023 (when the next second corn harvest occurs) since it did not perform the necessary monitoring for the current crop.

#Brazil's ethanol was strictly sugarcane-based just a few years ago and it still predominantly is, but #corn based-ethanol is increasingly in the mix now. This chart from USDA/FAS shows the slight rise in industrial corn use in Brazil over the last three seasons.
