Unknown, Japan, Mexico and China bought new-crop U.S. #corn last week. China bought old-crop #soybeans (switched from unknown) and new-crop sales were to China, Egypt. Philippines, unknown, Nigeria bought #wheat.

Here's what money managers did through July 12 - their net long position fell to the lowest since Oct. 2020 even though futures had been up as much as 14% in that week. The net long (bullish position) of 151,174 fut+opt contracts is the equivalent of 756 million bushels.

#China's agricultural imports in the first half of 2022 were not as strong as last year, except in #sorghum, which is up 26% on the year. H1 #corn imports dropped 11% from last year, #soybeans down 5.5% and #wheat off 8%. #Pork imports were 65% lower.
