CBOT Sept #wheat finished slightly lower Friday at $8.06 per bushel. Within the last four weeks, the contract settled as high as $8.19-1/2 (7/20) and as low as $7.59 (7/22), not too big a range considering the price action seen this year.

CBOT Nov #soybeans finished fractionally higher on the day after dropping as much as 2.3% after USDA's U.S. yield forecast came in higher than predicted. Beans settled Friday at $14.54-1/4 per bu, their best since July 29.

Aug. 12: CBOT Dec #corn futures rise 2.3% as USDA's U.S. crop forecast comes in lighter than expected. Friday's finish of $6.42-1/4 per bushel is the contract's highest settle since June 29.
