here are a few thoughts.

anything that had a good downdraft this year should get a bounce in january.  especially after the year end tax loss selling.  

so maybe gold may get a bounce.  maybe crypto currencies could get a bounce.  some tech stocks may see a bounce.  (maybe tesla, etc).  

the seasonal chart for bonds says that bonds should go down for a few months.  (interest rates up?).  

oil came down quite a bit.  i am thinking this may bounce up after year end tax loss selling.  a significant bounce up in oil (and gas prices) could once again ruffle the feathers of consumers.  i don't know if oil is effected by the year end tax selling like some stocks are.  

for those things that came down a lot,... if you wanted to buy,  the last couple days of the year was the time to buy.
