Great quote, just saw it somewhere yesterday. No better example than one of our largest hypocrites Nancy Pelosi. Just today she makes the idiotic comment that "thank God they were not in power on Jan 6th"  What a fool. why you say. Who looked at Nancy and what kind of worry did she ever anyone would ever look. None. Is it ok to look at security on Jan 6th now that the "committee" has concluded? Is that permitted, and Nancy's roll in that mess? Of course not the rich elites rarely bare any responsibility and often make their selves out to be our great protectors in the end.

Nancy's roll in that mess?

That's a completely made up conspiracy theory from Fox news, mcfarm!

Sean Hannity

stated on June 9, 2022 in a TV segment:

“Donald Trump authorized up to 20,000 National Guard troops to protect the Capitol" before Jan. 6, 2021, but was "rejected" by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

false

right MM. Next you will come running with info on how that security guard who shot the unarmed service lady dead was a hero who deserved the medal he was awarded instead of an investigation. Cannot wait for more of that crap to roll out. And just to remind you fools  when the house finally picks its new leader  the real investigations begin. Just yesterday it was revealed that now twitter will be releasing new and damning info on the little criminal Fauci and his bunch and what they did to this country.

Thanks Jean!

That's quite an interesting blame tactic those republicans used in the report.

According to this report, Trump wasn't the focus of causation during his 2 months of blatantly abusing his power as president trying to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and violating the Constitution and his commitment and oath as president which totally inspired the people to riot(which he failed to call off for hours after it happened) .

Trump even went as far as to call off the use of the metal detectors so that the rioters would be armed when they broke in. A blatant intentional safety violation that proves he WANTED the insurrection to be effective. Maybe Pelosi and others could have done things better but their objective was safety and NO Insurrection.

Trump, not only wanted the Insurrection, he single handedly caused it.

Instead, this report shows it was Pelosi's failure to effectively stop those people that we should mainly blame.

I get that the cops could have been much more effective, especially if people had comprehended how powerful Trump's influence actually was in the minds of those insurrectionists and how Trump was going to be able to manipulate the thinking and actions of so many people to such an extreme.

This was unprecedented by an extraordinarily wide margin and unexpected as a result. It's very tough to prepare for something that you can't imagine happening.

However, focusing a report that puts all the blame on somebody that wanted to stop it and was  able to and NOT the criminals that caused it, is like putting the blame on US intelligence and cops and airlines for 9-11-01 instead of the terrorists.

Or on law enforcement for the riots of 2020 and not the rioters.

Republicans release their own US Capitol riot report focused on security failures

yes we still have free will MM. The people who were wrong on jan 6th were wrong. Pelosi and company had culpability. 2 things can be true simultaneously. Never ever one Repub state none of the Trump supporters were innocent....not a one so quit pushing that false statement.

I HAVE MY OWN  THEORY ON HOW THAT ALL CAME ABOUT.
