I received an email this morning from my wonderful son in law befuddled regarding this Twitter post below. This source has over 100,000 followers and this tweet, so far today has had almost 1 million views.

My posts/responses:

I use Our World in Data all the time as a scientist/forum moderator. You made up that graph. COVID vaccination DECREASES excess deaths in every study! https://cidrap.umn.edu/covid-19/excess-deaths-decreased-second-pandemic-year-likely-tied-vaccination

So I looked at a couple more of their tweets:

Leading Report@LeadingReport

"BREAKING: Antifa member and Vice President of the Dominion Voting System Strategy and Security, Eric Coomer, allegedly said he “made sure Trump was not going to win” in 2020."

HERES THE TRUTH:

You made this up. Here's the facts:

Post revives baseless claim that Dominion employee admitted to interfering in the 2020 election
CLAIM: A Dominion Voting Systems employee named Eric Coomer said on an “antifa conference call” prior to the 2020 election, “Don’t worry about the election, Trump’s not gonna win.

And another one:

Leading Report@LeadingReport

·

"BREAKING: New Canadian bombshell scientific report claims that instead of saving lives, the experimental COVID vaccines were causally linked to a drastic increase in all-cause mortality in 17 countries, ultimately resulting in 17 million deaths."

I couldn't resist wasting more time posting this response:

mike maguire@meteormike54

Dude, all the Canadian studies show the complete opposite of what you just made up.  This is the most recent one:

Reported side effects following COVID-19 vaccination in Canada

https://health-infobase.canada.ca/covid-19/vaccine-safety/

"Evidence indicates that the benefits of COVID-19 vaccines continue to outweigh the risks of the disease."

So the point of this post/thread is to EXPOSE blatant DISinformation and lies from sources like this with a massive following.

If you already believe the lies they posted because similar sources have been bombarding you with this information...........I just busted it for the 500th time here for you by using authentic facts/data and the truth!

Use the truth based on facts.

Most importantly, FACT CHECK YOUR SOURCES, especially when they tell you things that you want to believe!

Understanding research bias is important for several reasons.

  1. Bias exists in all research, across research designs, and is difficult to eliminate.
  2. Bias can occur at any stage of the research process.
  3. Bias impacts the validity and reliability of your findings, leading to misinterpretation of data.

It is almost impossible to conduct a study without some degree of research bias. It’s crucial for you to be aware of the potential types of bias, so you can minimize them.
