Bet that the Brooklyn Dodgers played football in the NFL.

It happened in 1941 and as a 10 year old, I watched for any mention of my cousin who played for the team.

The Brooklyn Dodgers were an American football team that played in the National Football League from 1930 to 1943, and in 1944 as the Brooklyn Tigers. The team played its home games at Ebbets Field. In 1945, because of financial difficulties, the team was merged with the Boston Yanks

back when men were men. Isn't it funny nowadays a 6 foot 11 inch guy will pound his chest or celebrate for 5 minutes if he happens to dunk the ball. Never saw the Doctor or Bird or George McGinnis do such. Holy cow what would Red of said to Bill Russell if he acted like that every tine he blocked a shot? I have a good idea.
